The ATEN 8×8 Cat 5 VGA/Audio Matrix Switch VM0808T is a professional AV matrix solution designed for long-distance audio and video distribution over Cat 5 cabling. As part of the ATEN VanCryst™ Media Matrix Solution, the VM0808T works seamlessly with the ATEN VE500 or VE300 A/V Over Cat 5 Extender to transmit VGA video, stereo audio, and RS-232 control signals over distances of up to 300 meters, while supporting video resolutions up to 1280 × 1024.

The ATEN 8×8 Cat 5 VGA/Audio Matrix Switch VM0808T supports up to 8 input sources and 8 output displays, making it an ideal solution for environments that require flexible AV signal routing across multiple locations. It also includes an additional local console connection, providing convenient monitoring and management.

For maximum operational flexibility, the VM0808T can be controlled through front panel push buttons, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 serial interfaces, or remotely via a browser-based web interface. This allows system administrators to manage AV distribution efficiently from either on-site or remote locations.
